SHOWCASE PRIZES

Spectra's showcase performances will take place on April 13, May 11, June 8, July 13, and August 10, 2012 at 120 Church Street.

On each of these nights, the following prizes will be distributed to the top performers:

EXCELLENCE AWARDS:
Excellence Awards will be given to the top three performers at each showcase (based on a combination of Jury scores and audience votes):

• 1st place: a cheque for $500, plus one night's stay at the Holiday Inn, plus a spot in the next showcase*
  (value = $789)
  
  TEAM CAPTAIN for the top showcase performer each night wins one night's stay at the Holiday Inn.
  (value = $289)
  
  
• 2nd place: $150 store credit from Steve's Music, plus one night's stay at the Holiday Inn, plus a spot in the next showcase*.
  (value = $439)
  
  
• 3rd place: a hair session at Studio 600 Salon, plus one night's stay at the Holiday Inn, plus a spot in the next showcase*.
  (value = $389)
  
  * The top three performers on August 10, 2012 will be invited to perform at the next showcase on October 12, 2012 [the 2013 season]. Performers chosen to participate in the "Grand Slam" are excluded from this opportunity.
  

• 1st place: a one-year Goodlife Fitness membership (value $600), and a spot in the next showcase*.
  
  
• 2nd place: a 6-month Goodlife Fitness membership (value $300), and a spot in the next showcase*.
  
  
• 3rd place: a 3-month Goodlife Fitness membership (value $150), and a spot in the next showcase*.
  
  
• all newcomers will receive a pair of Converse sneakers, two passes to Rainbow Cinemas Market Square, and two free workshops on April 1, 2012.
  
  NOTE: if a newcomer finishes in the top three over-all, they will recieve a Newcomer Award and an Excellence Award.
  
  * The top three newcomers on August 10, 2012 will be invited to perform at the next showcase on October 12, 2012 [the 2013 season]. Performers chosen to participate in the "Grand Slam" are excluded from this opportunity.

GRAND SLAM PRIZES

The Grand Slam will take place on September 14, 2012 at 120 Church Street.  At the Grand Slam, we will feature the top performer from each discipline (who will automatically receive the following prizes):

1. Top vocalist wins $250 gift card from Steve's Music plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
2. Top musician wins $250 gift card from Steve's Music plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
3. Top dancer wins $500 worth of classes from School of Toronto Dance Theatre plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
4. Top comedian wins $500 worth of services from Second City plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
5. Top drag king wins a $250 grocery gift card from Longos, plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
6. Top drag queen wins a $250 grocery gift card from Longos, plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
7. Top carnival act wins a $250 grocery gift card from Longos, plus a solo at Pride 2013
   
   
8. Top cultural act wins a $250 grocery gift card from Longos, plus a solo at Pride 2013

In addition to the above-mentioned prizes, the top placing performers at the Grand Slam will receive the following:

1. 1st place - a cheque for $1,000 from Mill Street Brewery, $250 worth of services from AutoShare, plus dinner-for-two at
   Il Fornello.
   
   TEAM CAPTAIN for the top Grand Slam performer wins a six-month membership at Goodlife Fitness plus a hair session at
   Studio 600 Salon (total value = $400).
   
   
2. 2nd place - $250 worth of services from AutoShare, plus dinner-for-two at Il Fornello.
   
   
3. 3rd place - $250 worth of services from AutoShare, plus dinner-for-two at Il Fornello.
   
   
4. all Grand Slam performers receive an extra pair of Converse sneakers.
